The Chlorinator Pro CP-15 cell is a direct replacement for the Hayward ProLogic T-CELL-15 units. If you have firmware that supports multiple salt cell sizes such as T-3, T-5, and T-9 you have the ability to size up to a 40,000 gallon unit such as the T-15. We recommend that pool owners choose a cell size that is at least 1.5 – 2.0 times their pool size. This means the cell would not need to work as hard to keep up with your chlorine needs.

Question: My salt system reads Check System HI salt/amps and is not making chlorine.
Answer: Your system may have board issues. A common issue on the AquaLogic and ProLogic systems is the failure of the K1 relay which regulates power to the board. This issue is caused by a broken/weak solder point on the K1 relay (on rear side of board). Simply resolder burnt points and you should be operating again. On rare occasions you will have to replace the actual K1 relay or purchase a new board. High amps can be caused by several things such as too much salt or nearby lightning strikes which result in power surges.

AquaLogic
Introduced by Hayward in 2003, the Aqua Logic salt system is a multi-function pool controller used to fully manage your pool/spa system. It can control pumps, valves, lighting, heaters, and chlorination. It was designed to handle the automation and purification needs of swimming pools up to 40,000 gallons and to utilize the T-15 cell. The last board revision for the AquaLogic was 3.00 .
Aqua Logic was discontinued in 2008 by Goldline and replaced by the Pro Logic system.

ProLogic
Introduced in 2008, the Hayward Pro Logic salt chlorination system updated features from the recently discontinued Aqua Logic system. The Pro Logic includes a Sense and Dispense option that tests and controls the pH and chlorine levels. The Pro Logic automatically converts salt into free chlorine which kills bacteria and algae in the pool/spa. The chlorine will revert back to sodium chloride (salt) after killing bacteria. These reactions will continuously recycle, but proper water chemistry needs to be maintained, especially the proper level of stabilizer (aka conditioner).. The only time you may need to add salt to you pool/spa is when water is replenished due to backwashing, draining, or splashing (not evaporation).
The Pro Logic comes in four models, P-4, PS-4, PS-8, and PS-16 with seemingly endless options such as wireless or wired remotes to help monitor your pool chemistry.
